I volunteered to help the Surrey League marshall the second stage of the Revolutions 5 Day Stage Race. I arrived at the HQ with 15 minutes to spare but quickly assigned to my marshall point. I grabbed my red flag and reflective jersey climbed on my bike and headed out.
Once there I settled in and set up my station. The intersection I manned was quite busy. The riders passed three times. Without incident I moved to my second marshall point to secure five laps. No problems again.
I headed back to the HQ to drop the equipment off and then headed home.
By the end of the day I completed 85km and 02:50 averaging 147 bpm (beats per minute).
